USING KUTU

Terms and Conditions

The terms for keeping your good finds with Kutu.

1. Who provides Kutu

Kutu Bookmark ("Kutu", "we", "us") is operated by Erkan Eroğlu, an individual based in Türkiye. These Terms govern your use of kutu.link, the Kutu web application, Kutu mobile applications, and the Kutu browser extension, together the "Service". Contact: [email protected].

These Terms apply to features actually available to you. A feature shown as a preview, coming soon, or unavailable is not a promise that it is currently provided.

2. Eligibility and agreement

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms to create an account or use the Service. Kutu is not intended for people under 18. Do not create an account for a person under 18 or misrepresent your age.

If you use Kutu for an organisation, you must have authority to act for it. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create an account or use the Service. The Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information; it is a notice, and accepting these Terms does not itself constitute consent to optional analytics or other processing that requires separate consent.

3. Your account

Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. Protect your sign-in account, devices, sessions, and any private-bookmark PIN. Tell us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. Signing in through Google or Apple is also subject to that provider's terms.

You are responsible for activity you authorise and for taking reasonable steps to secure your account. This does not make you responsible for security failures attributable to us or remove rights you have under applicable law.

4. Your bookmarks and other content

You retain the rights you have in your bookmarks, notes, tags, collections, and other material you submit. Kutu does not acquire ownership of that material.

You give us permission to host, store, process, synchronise, back up, and display your material only as needed to provide and secure the Service, respond to your instructions, and meet legal obligations. This permission does not authorise selling your content, making a private library public, or using your content in advertising. After deletion, permission continues only to the extent needed for lawful retention and the removal of residual backup copies as described in the Privacy Policy.

Submit only material you have the right to use. Saving a link does not transfer copyright or other rights in the linked website, article, image, or video to you or to Kutu.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to infringe others' rights, store or distribute unlawful material, commit fraud, deliver malware, or harass other people. Do not access another person's account or private content, interfere with the Service, bypass access controls or rate limits, or run automated activity that materially disrupts the Service.

Good-faith security reports are welcome at [email protected]. Do not access other users' data or perform disruptive tests without prior authorisation.

6. Previews, imports, and third-party services

When you save or import a link, Kutu may contact the linked website or an associated preview service to retrieve a title, description, image, or other metadata. Third-party content can change, disappear, be inaccurate, or require a separate account or subscription. Kutu does not endorse a website simply because you can save it.

Only import content you are entitled to access. Kutu does not grant access to private third-party accounts or override paywalls. External sites and sign-in, app-store, and payment services operate under their own terms and privacy notices.

7. Synchronisation, automation, and private bookmarks

Synchronisation depends on connectivity, account access, and service availability. Offline edits may not reach your other devices until a later successful sync. Review automated rules before enabling them because they may change, move, or delete bookmarks according to your settings. Use export and backup options where available for important material.

A private-bookmark PIN provides an additional access restriction within Kutu. It is not a representation that the entire Service is end-to-end encrypted or that the operator can never process your content.

8. Free features, paid plans, and purchases

The available features and limits are those shown for your account and platform. A displayed plan or price does not create a purchase by itself. In the current web version, selecting a preview Premium plan does not initiate checkout, create a subscription, or charge you.

If you buy a paid plan through an available purchase channel, the price, currency, billing period, renewal terms, and applicable taxes must be disclosed before purchase. Do not proceed unless you agree to those details. Purchases through Apple or Google are also subject to the relevant store's billing and cancellation rules.

For a renewing subscription, manage cancellation through the channel where you purchased it. Deleting Kutu, signing out, or requesting account deletion does not necessarily cancel store billing. Mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, refund, and digital-service rights remain unaffected; these Terms do not impose a blanket "no refunds" rule. Contact [email protected] for help identifying the correct purchase channel.

9. Suspension, closure, and deletion requests

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a serious breach, security incident, fraud, legal requirement, or an account that does not meet the age requirement. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to resolve the issue. Urgent protective action may be taken first.

You may stop using Kutu at any time. Request account closure or personal-data deletion by emailing [email protected], preferably from the address associated with your account. We may verify ownership before acting. The current web version does not provide a working self-service account-deletion control. See Delete Your Kutu Account for the request steps and the Privacy Policy for retention exceptions and privacy rights.

10. Service changes and availability

We work to keep Kutu available, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation, error-free previews, or indefinite availability of every third-party integration. We may make reasonable changes for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or product development. Material changes affecting paid access will be handled with notice and remedies required by applicable law. If the Service is discontinued, we will provide notice and a reasonable export opportunity where practicable and legally required.

11. Intellectual property

The Kutu software, branding, and original interface content belong to their respective rights holders. We permit you to use the Service in accordance with these Terms; we do not transfer ownership of the software or branding. Third-party trademarks and linked content remain the property of their owners.

To report infringement, email [email protected] with the material's location, the right you believe is infringed, your contact details, and enough information for us to evaluate the report. Do not send unnecessary confidential information.

12. Responsibility and mandatory rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that the Service will meet every particular purpose or that third-party content will remain available. Any limitation of responsibility applies only to the extent lawful. Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable obligations concerning personal data, fraud, deliberate wrongdoing, or mandatory consumer protections.

13. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, subject to any mandatory protections available to you under the law of your habitual residence. This choice does not deprive consumers of rights or access to courts, consumer authorities, or dispute-resolution bodies that applicable law makes available to them. Please contact [email protected] first so that we can try to resolve a concern.

14. Changes and contact

We will publish revised Terms with their effective date and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Where law requires express agreement, we will obtain it rather than treating silence as consent. Changes will not remove rights you already have under mandatory law.
